Our mission is to provide an inclusive environment that inspires all children at every skill level to discover their greatness through their connection to God, one another, and the planet. In turn, we empower them to lead joy-filled, authentic lives. Currently, we are connecting with each other through virtual classes and activities. Weekly, our Buds & Blossoms and Uniteens classes meet at 10:00 a.m. via Zoom. Our virtual Buds & Blossoms class is for youth ages 3 - 4th grade. This class includes movement, song, meditation, prayer, and a lesson. A link to join can be found below. Our Uniteens class is facilitated by Rev. Ytonna Dyess Finnegan of Youth & Young Adult Ministries of Southeast Unity. This is a great opportunity for youth in grades 5 - 8 within the Southeast Region to meet and engage in Spiritual conversation. Please click the Virtual Youth of Unity QSR code below to access this class on Sunday mornings. There are also other virtual connections taking place, including Youth Retreats, Y.O.U. Rallies, and parent meetings. Please watch our website and our UCR Youth & Family BAND page to stay up-to-date with all of the fun things going on in YFM!
Age 3 months to 3 years
Children are cared for by a volunteer or staff member. There is no formal instruction, as the purpose of the Sprouts/Nursery is to provide a fun and safe environment for children while their parent(s) or guardian(s) are allowed their own spiritual enrichment time. There are age- appropriate toys and games.
Age 4 years to 4th grade
Children are taught age- appropriate lessons from Unity curriculum by volunteers. A staff person is also present to assist children as needed. All children, regardless of any individual attributes, are encouraged to participate and are treated with love and respect. During their classroom time, they participate in a guided lesson, meditation/prayer, and learning activities.
Grades 5 to 8
In this classroom, children learn further about Unity Principles, with lessons that will challenge and encourage them to walk their spiritual path. These lessons open the doors to discussion and sharing in meaningful ways with their peers. Uniteens are also encouraged to begin participating within the larger church community.
