We Want Your Junque!
Bring Yard Sale Donations to UCR Sundays Starting April 12.
UCR Yard Sale: Friday, May 1 (10 a.m. till 2 p.m.) and Saturday, May 2 (8 a.m. till 1 p.m.)
Join in this fun community event that blesses our church and our neighbors. Your junque is someone else’s treasure! Set your boxes and bags and piles aside for delivery to UCR on Sundays starting April 12. Leave them in your car while you attend church, then we'll caravan across the street to the storage unit after the service each Sunday to unload.
Tools, household items, small appliances, furniture, jewelry, toys, lamps, outdoor items, and accessories sell especially well. Please don't bring computers, printers, clothing (other than accessories), broken items, or stained items. All items should be clean, in good working order, and include all their parts!

Donations for Saving Grace Dog Rescue
Our Core Project for April is collecting donations for Saving Grace, a local dog rescue shelter. Please donate new or gently used pet care items and/or dog food. Thanks for supporting our furry friends! Monetary donations to Saving Grace are also welcome. Visit the Saving Grace website to see what they need.

Annual Hearts in Unity Lasagna Fundraiser Honored Betty Sari and Celebrated Community and Connection
It was an evening of laughter, music, smiles, and pasta on Saturday night, February 28. One minute lame jokes about pasta were being shared. Another minute, raffle prize numbers were being called out. The next minute, the entire room was playing kazoos to a popular love song. It was Unity Church of Raleigh’s sixteenth annual Hearts in Unity lasagna fundraiser, an event that delighted guests with a homemade lasagna dinner with all the trimmings, entertainment, and raffles. Approximately sixty people attended the party, which honored long-time Fun(d)Raising Team leader and event creator Betty Sari, who made her transition in December.
UCR Music Director and HIU DJ Gregg Bockover led the sing-alongs, teased the brain with a Love Song Name that Tune game, and judged the lasagnas: Best Veggie Lasagna went to Susan Riggs and Best Meat Lasagna was awarded to Megan Macpherson. Event Co-Chair Pat Bond led a series of fun games, including Valentine’s True-False and Left-Right-Left. Co-Chair Melanie Raskin managed the raffles. Best of all, the church raised $1,887.

Servers Doug Walters, Jessica Miller, Cathie Ledwell, and Dorothy Muccio kept the lasagnas moving and the clean-up crew of, well, everyone tidied, transforming our Italian bistro back into a church by the end of the fun evening.
